File size limits by platform

How these limits are checked

A limit is listed only after we have read it on the platform's own page, and each row carries the date we last did. Where search results, forums or guides disagree with the platform's page, the page wins. Limits we could not confirm are left out rather than guessed, and they are not counted here.

Sizes are decimal: 1 MB is 1,000,000 bytes, the way most platforms count. When a page leaves the unit ambiguous we take the smaller reading, so a file aimed at the number fits either way.

Email is different. An attachment is encoded before it travels, which makes it bigger, so an email limit counts the whole message and a file at the limit is refused. The platform pages show what to aim for.
